(The date has been confirmed. Tourists entering Santiago through the airport will be allowed starting November 23rd)

The border reopening is imminent. La Tercera just reported that a new decree will be issued by the end of November. The reopening will be gradual so only SCL airport will be allowed as an entry point at the beginning and land borders will stay closed until further notice.

What are the requirements? You will need a PCR exam with a negative result issued 72 hours prior to your arrival in Chile for the local authority and also you’ll be instructed to use an app and report your symptoms and location.

So good news so far! I was expecting this to happen before the summer as measures have been eased in most of the country.
